Meet Alan

Hello, I am Alan Rampling and run the day to day operations of Alan Rampling Extensions. We are a small family run company so this allows us to create that human touch that's needed when it comes to dealing with homeowners.

I have had almost 40 years experience in building extensions for homeowners. I've probably built most types of extensions that a home could have. I've also carried out numerous renovations whether it be a garage conversion or just a simple kitchen renovation or conversion.

I Completely understand that it is a stressful time when choosing someone who you are able to trust with your new project. Yes there is quite a lot of choice when it comes to choosing a builder but you need to feel that your chosen contractor is someone you can trust and get on with at all times.

I live and work in the Wigan area, we also travel to Chorley , Bolton and other areas to build extensions. I have vast experience dealing with building inspectors, structural engineers and architects on any given project. I will liaise at all times with the above and keep you informed on any issues and progress of the build.

We do use outside contractors for some of the work but this is normal in the industry today. All contractors are vetted and hold the required certificates i.e gas or electrical installations.

Your project will be fully managed at all times either by myself or my brother Colin who also has vast experience in home extensions. Daily and weekly updates are given so you are kept informed with progress and any issues that may come up.

As discussed on our website I will provide a schedule of works and a staged payment plan for you to look at before work commences. You will know exactly at what stage your next payment is due to us. The payments are normally at key stages of the build so please check out our homepage for more details.
